Copying diary entries

Is there any way that I can transfer any of my entries or recipes over to a friend’s account? Here’s the issue – My husband and I are on this weight-loss journey together. As the main cook in our house, I will often input a recipe into the recipe builder, figure out the calories per gram and then log it in my diary. However, in order for my husband to add it to his diary, he either has to duplicate the recipe exactly or I will just figure out his portion and he will quick add the calories, which works, but doesn’t really provide a full picture in his diary. In a more simplistic scenario, we will usually eat the exact same meal and it would be much easier if only one of us had to actually input it into a diary and then we could just copy it over to the other.

He can go to your diary, click Tools under the meal, then click Copy to Today and it will automatically log that entire meal.

Yes. As long as you're friends on here, he can go to your diary and under each meal it should say "copy meal". He copies it to his diary and can adjust the portion from there. I'm the cook in our house, and my mom uses MFP, too.

Also, if you put your name in the recipe title, he should be able to search for that and add it to his diary that way.

Really? I knew I could do that from my own diary, but didn't realize I could do that for others' diaries! Thank you!

What? Are you serious? We can go into a friend's diary and use the copy feature to copy things into our own diaries? I had no idea you could do this. My mind is completely blown.

My mom does it all the time when I cook. We both use the app, so it might be different on the website. I've never seen the option to copy my own meals, though. That'd make things so much easier.

Wait! Are you serious? You haven't read one of my hundreds (literally) posts on how to do this?

    I am crushed (figuratively). :heartbreak:

    I have not!

Also, I believe you are wearing an apron in your avi picture but every time I first glance at it I think you look like a clergyman wearing a stole and, in my head, I call you Father Cybertone. So forgive me, Father Cybertone, it seems that I have overlooked your posts on this matter.
