Protein Shake help!

There's too many threads, too many websites, too many forums all about protein shake, too many to read through to ask one simple question!

So, I know that protein shakes are not a meal replacer and should not be used as one and yada yada yada, but I typically work out around a meal time and I'm trying to eat 5-6 "meals" a day, so I have a protein shake( whey and almondmilk) for lunch and then have a large "afternoon snack"

For instance:Today

10:00Breakfast: 2 egg whites on an english muffin with a tomato

1:30 Morning Snack/Pre-Workout Meal: 3/4 cup of cheerios, 1/4 cup almond milk

Now I'm back from the gym, finishing my shake as my "lunch"

3:45 Lunch/ Post-Workout: Protein Shake

5:00Afternoon Snack: Spinach and Mozarella wrap

9:00 Dinner: Quinoa and black bean salsa

Or should I include a lunch in addition to my protein shake, and have an afternoon snack as well!


Also,the way I workout is cycle, weights, run for 2 miles

Should I be drinking my shake after weights, or after my whole workout?
