I work 10hrs days and then I come home to take care of my 8 month old. How and where do I fit any exercise in that can help me lose weight?

    I like avacia.tv
It's got a wide variety of videos you can search through based on your fitness goals and how much time you have available. Costs about $5/month.
I would focus on workouts that help you build up muscle and tone and strengthen. The more muscle mass you have, the higher your metabolism gets because it costs a lot of energy everyday to maintain it as compared to fat. Strength training, even if it's just using your own body weight will give you a solid start

Taking the baby on walks in a stroller can help, just moving around in any way does. I know it's hard, plus when the baby is old enough (probably 9-12 months) you can start taking them to the park and doing small things.
  • Exercise is great, but diet is going to be your biggest ally in losing weight. With 10 hour days, you have a great opportunity to hold yourself to a strict diet of good foods at a calorie deficit. Pack your lunch and snacks, pre-log your calories, and only eat what you brought with you. You'll definitely start losing weight in no time. Good luck!

    Calorie deficit for weight loss.
    Exercise for fitness.

Getting good rest also plays a big part in both weight loss and fitness, so my usual suggestion of getting up a half hour earlier to do an intense 20-30 minute workout might not be a good fit for you after 10 hour work days and caring for an 8 month old.

So if you can find that same window in your regular waking hours somewhere, you can get a really good workout in in a short amount of time. Check out FitnessBlender.com, they have a lot of free workout vids that are short - everything from stretching and yoga, to kettlebells, body weight workouts, etc.
