Things are looking good....

Well....things seem to be looking good - as in so far, so good. I actually started logging my food because of some "gut" issues I was having and finally decided to find a program I could use on my phone that would also track calories. And that is when I found myfitnesspal. I was shocked....just writing what you eat is one thing and then seeing the actual calories , fat, carbs, ect was absolutely shocking to me. That little shake I got was HOW many calories (BTW, it was like 600)...things like that. Well that made me realize really quick that the donut or 2 I would have for breakfast (~300 calories each) and soda were just ridiculous. So I dropped the eye bugging foods and have replaced them with things that are "better" choices.....yogurt for breakfast (usually 2) and I now try to drink at least 16 ounces of water before meals. I also am going to Occupational Therapy for collarbone ORIF surgery and have been walking and Wii-ing (I am coining that phrase!) which is a huge jump start for me since I have been not able to do too much since last October (When I broke my collarbone). My family and friends get a kick out of it when we are sitting at a table somewhere looking up best choices and then they have me start running their meals too....I think this stuff may be contagious!

Great job on the weight loss so far. This site has been my saving grace. Seeing the actual calories of the food you eat sure puts things in perpective. Keep up the good work.
