ACL

Ok so I'm kind of in a pickle now . I think I tore my ACL working out my knee is swollen and hurts to walk or bend . Can I still lose weight eating only 1000-1200 calories a day without exercise ? I'm in a bet with family and friends whoever loses the most weight in 6 weeks wins the money we all put in . I'm very competitive and want to win .

    If your ACL actually is torn, you really don't have much choice but to stay off of it.

    I couldn't walk for several months when I tore mine. The options are either PT several times/week for nearly a year or surgery.

    See a doctor.

    You can lose without working out but a torn ACL means lots of PT either way so.
