Need Your Advice About Diet Apps

Hi Everybody! :)

I need your advice about the best health and or diet trackers or apps that you use. I know MFP is probably the best, but are there other apps that you use that help you on your health and/or diet goals?

I keep coming back to MyFitnessPal because I think it's list of foods is the best I've ever seen. It's had obscure prepackaged kettle corn info, info about this hard to find cilantro sauce, etc.

I am looking for an app that will let me manually type in my steps, as I have my own old pedometer and it's not electric. I also don't trust using an app with a built in pedometer because I tend walk with my phone and swing my arms or I'm always picking my phone and I've noticed that it will add lots of steps that way.

I also want an app that can track as many routine exercises as possible, as well as the macro and micro nutrients in my food AND can show me charts of my weight loss over time, etc.

I also love the social aspect of it, and so far, except for steps, MyFitnessPal seems to have the most items I am looking for. What else would you recommend in addition?

I like MFP because it syncs with my Fitbit which records my steps and most exercise automatically and accurately.

Plus I love MFP's Community, database and settings.

Good plan! I've got the Charge HR, and I love it.

I kept an eye on my promotional emails and got it for half price!

That sounds awesome :) can you look at the Fitbit and see your steps automatically, or do you have to sync it up with your iPhone to see the steps taken ?

Most of the Fitbit's you can see the steps on the device - no syncing needed. Some will even "remind" you to move if stationary for too long.

With my Charge HR it shows the time when you raise your arm. If you press the button, it then shows the steps, and then you can press it again for other stats or look at the app for loads of lovely data.

I just started using Trendweight to track my daily weigh ins. It gets recommended a lot on here and so far I really like it.

My Garmin Vivoactive does that. I love it. Great way to not get too hunched over my desk. It's so easy for me to lose track of time! Has so many features--I love it!
