I was a GD. I ate pretty much what I wanted but it was healthy foods, like chicken, eggs, beef, veggies and whole fruit. I would reduce things like cheep carbs like white bread, sugary cereal, things that break down fast. Whole grain or slow digesting carbs are important. Weight gain is still important. I am a nurse married to a Dr so we were very comfortable using insulin coverage to keep my BS tight.0

I had Gestational for both pregnancies. I basically followed a low carb plan. NOT no carb. I would eat lean meats and veggies for dinner pretty much every night. I ate a lot of eggs, salads and fruits. I did not give up breads and pasta but I did not over indulge. If you eat to many carbs, you will feel sick.. not fun. As a matter a fact, they didn't even have to test me the second time, I told them at 10 weeks... I was nauseas... I knew my sugars were out of wack.0
