Changing menstration?

Hi ladies!
I wasn't sure how to title this...sorry I'm awkward

I am usually super on schedule when I menstruate, I know precisely when they will come, and they're always the same; same feelings, pms symptoms, flow rate & number of days. Very regular (thanks to my b.c.) But this month is really weird! It's early!! By a whole week!! I can't think of anything else that I've been doing that would affect it. And honestly, it's kind of freaking me out a little :s

I haven't lost a whole lot of pounds, 5 of 'em, but I've lost almost 6% body fat in two months. Could that be it, like, changes in my reproductive...somethings...? Do any of you ladies have similar situations?

I'm sorry if this is a little personal and TMI and nosey, but I don't really know who else to turn to than my friends on MFP!

Yep, weight loss can affect this. We were actually talking about this on another thread today:

How have you measured that you've lost 6% body fat? Because that's quite a lot and I'm doubting that you lost that much in just two months.

That said, exercise and changes in diet, activity, etc., can all affect your cycle and can be relatively normal. If it continues for like months at a time, or if there's pain or any unusual symptoms then call your GP, but I would guess it's normal.

I am measuring by the U.S. Army body fat calculators. There's a very complicated math equation (and thereby online calculators available) , where you enter your age, height, weight, neck, waist, & hip circumference. It's used by my family and friends and is required for physical fitness tests in the military.
    I guess it's been since the beginning of December...so 2 1/2 months, not 2.

Is your birth control in the form of a pill? How long has the bleeding lasted?

You're regular until you aren't. Meaning that everyone has irregular cycles sometimes. When you start your period is based on when you ovulate that cycle. The time between ovulation and your period is consistent, so if you're early/late its because you ovulated early/late. A lot of things can throw off your ovualtion: stress, hormones, weight loss, exercise habits, etc. One cycle is pretty insignificant in the scheme of things.

If this starts happening consistently, I would speak to your OB/GYN. But one cycle is simply a "it happens sometimes" kind of thing.
