would be interested in folks that have done Asylum series 1 and 2 and Max 30 ? Thoughts on how they compare to the original Insanity regarding intensity and overall fitness, strength, balance, athletic development ? I am over 55 but have stayed in decent shape and handled the P90X series (1,2,3) and Insanity fairly well.

They are all awesome. Cardio wise your best bet is going to be Max30 as it will match if not up the ante from insanity. However it is strictly a cardio program. They do throw in two days a week some strength however it still has a cardio feel to it and it's all bodyweight. Asylum 1&2 are much more sports training King focused so there is a lot of focus on agility, balance and speed. That said they both include a cardio routine and a strength routine with weights. Vol 1 is much more cardio focused than volume 2 which I would say has only one cardio routine a week . the other routines while may get your heart rate up too have more of a strength focus.
I personally would use Max30 to lose weight and asylum to condition myself. They also work very well as a hybrid0 -
Thanks... appreciate the perspectives / guidance...0
