I would start now, muscle does weigh more than fat but it will help you burn fat faster by adding the muscle. Don't just focus on the scale because when you add muscle you will gain weight, take measurements instead and look in the mirror to see if you notice positive changes.

    Immediately.

Lifting helps you preserve lean mass, meaning less weight to lose in the long run and better composition when you reach your goal. Even a higher protein diet isn't completely muscle sparing. You need to work the muscles.

    Thats what i was thinking....
Im not overly concearned with weight ... water retentio will probably go up at first after i shock the system .... probably will take up to two months to stabilize the change.

People should start doing resistance training right from the start of their fat loss, so start now.
