App helps but difficult also for first timer

My first time really counting calories! Helpful because I will not snack (my weakness) because I'll miss my goal.

Of course I feel hungry all the time and try to fill up with water.

    If you are feeling hungry, try to adjust your macros for a bit more protein, fat, and/or fiber.

    You can work in snacks as long as they fit into your calories. It doesn't matter how you spread out your eating, all that matters is the overall calories over the course of the week.

    Good snacks with protein;

    Cottage cheese,
    non fat yogurt,
    string cheese,
    boiled egg,
    Apple or celery with peanut butter,
    Nuts

    For dinner Fish, chicken or beans are high in protein!

    How many calories a day are you eating on MFP?

    2160. Calories and trying to eat less red meat if I can. Love the celery peanut butter idea

    Try pre-logging your days, to include some snacks. Additionally, make sure you're getting lots of protein and fats, for satiety.

    Keep carbs under 100 grams/day. That will help control hunger.
