MFP nutritional information for restaurants with no information

Anyone have any theories on how nutritional information gets into MFP for restaurants that don't release nutritional information? Are people just making this information up or do they have inside information? I'm just asking for accuracy purposes. For example, Portillo's doesn't release nutritional information yet pretty much every item is in the database with complete nutritional information. I went to a restaurant this afternoon, Twin Peaks, same thing. I asked and they don't have nutritional information yet every item is in the database. It's hard to tell if the information is accurate or not since it's restaurant food. I had a cobb salad today and I see entries from 200 calories to 1200 calories so it's really hard to estimate.

Most database entries are from MFP members. Those entries are likely just guesses by them or that they saw from someone else's guesses on another website.0
