Manually logging workout on fitbit

I manually log my workouts on Fitbit. I take it off during workout and wear my polar heart rate monitor instead as Fitbit grossly underestimates my calorie burn during intense workouts. It doesn't seem to add those workout calories to my total daily calorie burn though. It's supposed to, isn't it? This is so annoying as I just want straight numbers of calories in vs calories out to make my life easier but I'm getting alsorts grrrrr

    Are you syncing before and after your workouts? I have to manually log my swim cals and can see the change in my "you have xxx calories left of xxx to eat" right after I sync. I leave my dashboard open all the time so I refresh after this by clicking over to log tab and then back to dashboard. Good luck on your journey!
