my journey

Hi out there. My husband recently lost over 100lbs He did this through a medically supervised program where he consumed only shakes for 1 weeks and attended weekly support meetings. I supported him through the program and have learned new and improved meal preparation methods [I love to cook and bake!] I am happy to say he has maintained his weight loss- with 5-10 lb fluctuations either way- for over a year. when he went off the shakes and back to regular meals [we were both eating the same food] - I lost 25lbs in 6 weeks without any effort! problem is, I became unemployed last August and since December and over Christmas, I have fallen into some bad habits and have regained about 18 lbs. ugh. he is still maintaining his 100 but has also gained a muffin top back. We are committing to supporting each other - both in nutrition and exercising!
In the past, the weight loss journey was always about him and his health - He is diabetic - but since his weight loss has not taken insulin. But now I am claiming this to be about ME!
I know I can do this. I have helped him in his journey and now I need help in mine. I need a support group - just as he had when he was on the program- and I am hoping this may be a good fit for me!

I have learned many strategies and nutrition and cooking tips gleaned from his support group. I just have a hard time applying it to myself!
