peel, cut into small wedges, olive oil, smoked paprika, thats it.

Keeping it nice and simple - I like this! It's like having wedges, but sweeter. I'm definitely going to try this. Is one whole sweet potato usually a servings worth? :p

If I'm microwaving or baking them, I'll usually throw some Greek yogurt or almond butter on top with salt and cinnamon or all of that stuff together! If I'm baking them into fries, I'll do a garlic and paprika coating and make a cilantro lime crema as a dipping sauce that I make with Greek yogurt, lime, cilantro, and a little salt&garlic powder.

I peel the skin off of mines after baking it for an hour. I then mashed it up and put one tablespoon of creamy jif peanut butter on it. I also love sprinkling cinnamon on it as well. I then put it in the microwave to let the peanut butter melt. It is soo good.It is also good with almond butter. There are all kinds of peanut butter out there though. I'm thinking about trying some protein peanut butter soon from online.

Wrapped in banana leaves then smoked in an earth ovan typically known in the pacific islands as a lovo / hungi / imu / umu.

Gives any food a very distinct sweet/honey smokey taste and smell. Sadly you only ever see food like this at special occasions(weddings, birthdays, xmas, easter etc ..)

Otherwise i just boil or bake in a conventional oven with maybe a bit of butter.

Alright this is going to sound weird. And it is. But hear me out.

Bake in the oven (or microwave for 7 minutes if you are short on time).
    Split it open.
    Sprinkle with Cinnamon.
Add several spoonfuls of cottage cheese (in your chosen fat %).
    Sprinkle with more Cinnamon.
    Enjoy.

It is seriously delicious, and I don't like cottage cheese on its own. I use 1%. The whole dish is low cal and quite filling. I use incredible amounts of cinnamon.

Seriously, try this, it will change your life.

Sweet potato hashbrowns is part of my go-to breakfast! Today, I had some with two strips of bacon and two eggs! I just wash the outside and cut it up, no need to peel unless there's a bad part, toss in some onions, bell peppers, fresh garlic, black pepper, fresh parsley maybe some tomatoes and a tsp of coconut oil to cook it in and that's all I need. Take a look at my diary for today and there it is.

Coated with black pepper and garlic and roasted or grilled; sautéed with onion in olive oil seasoned with a little salt and pepper; stewed with venison or pork.

Add any type of sweetener and you've ruined them IMO.

I have a good side dish recipe with sweet potatoes. Slice them thin and coat them with a little olive oil. Lots of spices--brown sugar, cayenne pepper, smoky paprika, and just a dash of red pepper. Pack them tight in a tiny casserole dish, and cook in the oven for about 40 minutes, covered. You get this delicious mix of sweet and spicy. I also chop them up and roast them with red potatoes, onions, and turnips, coated in garlic salt, basil, and pepper, and they turn out yummy. Sweet potatoes are awesome.

Baked in the oven plain is a great side dish! I was pleasantly surprised that the natural sweetness was enough and I didn't need to add anything.

I also like to cube them and use them in a hash with onion, zucchini, peppers, and of course bacon. Add a poached egg and it's delicious any time of day.

We love an old Jacques Pepin recipe - it's a little fussy, but so good. Peel sweet potatoes and slice into thick (1") planks. Boil in salted water until just tender. Place in a skillet with hot oil (single layer), salt & pepper, and let them get slightly blackened and speckled, then flip. To serve, melt equal parts honey & butter in a small saucepan until syrupy, and drizzle generously over sweet potatoes.

I add a thin coat of olive oil and sea salt, wrap them in foil and throw on the grill until they're soft. Pop em in the fridge and eat one every night cold with cinnamon and salt. Yummy!

I usually toss them with some olive oil, salt and pepper, and other random yummy spices (garlic plus, lemon pepper, etc) and just bake them in the oven.

    SOOOOOOO GOOOOOOD
