About a month ago my sister and I went to the Biggest Loser Resort which was truly life changing. I spent the last 35 years of my life being unhealthy spanning weights of 95 lbs to 245 lbs at the same height. I have been up and down that range several times.
Before I went to BLR, I had spent so many years taking supplements to wake up, to have energay throughout the day and to go to sleep. Of course I was also eating a lot of bad food. If I wanted to lose weight, I would just starve myself.
After all this abuse, I couldn't hardly sleep, I had no energy, I thought I was depressed, I felt weak all the time. At BLR the light finally went on!
Hello!!!! If you eat clean food in the right combination and exercise, you feel great! Sounds like a no brainer, right?? It's so different when when you learn it and do it at the same time. BLR puts you on a 1500 cal/day diet of all clean food with pre-planning by nutritionists to maximize stable energy and weight loss. At the same time you are working with personal trainers 5-6 hours/day learning proper form & technique on multiple forms of exercise. There is also about 2-3 hours of classroom on diet, nutrition and healthy lifestyle.
I arrived on a Sunday. By Wednesday, I was dry heaving and dizzy for an entire day. On Thursday morning, I got up and gave it my all. By Saturday, I felt better than I have in a decade.
I threw out all my supplements which I had not taken all week but I brought just in case I could not function without them. I didn't need them anymore. I also threw out my depression meds.
This was about a month ago. I came back and joined Lifetime Fitness. I joined an exercise group and signed up for the 90 day total body transformation challenge. I have been eating almost entirely clean organic foods paying attention to proper combinations and portions.
I feel like I'm losing a little momentum. My husband thinks its a little weird since its so different. I try to stay self motivated but would love to add some friend so we can do this together!
