I want to bake a banana cake.
I have the recipe that calls for flour,
Can I use almond flour?
Do you think it will taste alright?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    It is not really the taste that will be the issue if you don't make any other changes. If you only use almond flour, the cake will not rise much if at all and you will end up with a slightly fluffy banana pancake. The starch and gluten proteins in wheat flour (and some other grains) are important to use for the cake to rise properly. You could probably increase the leavening agent (baking powder or baking soda), but that will increase the sodium level and may give an unpleasant aftertaste to the "pancake."

    I would suggest you read through the leavening agent and baking mix pages on Wikipedia and click through some of the links to learn about how to substitute items in recipes and how the substitutions may affect them.
