Probiotics...Pros v Cons?

Hey all! :) Pardon the tmi, but I've been looking for something to help my regularity issues. I'm seriously considering probiotic supplements!

Any pros/cons from those of you who've tried them?? Is the bloating bad?

Thanks!! :)

Try adding Lifeway Kefir to your diet for a few days.

My family has been riddled with stomach issues. (It runs in one side of the family). I take a multi everyday anyway and started taking a probiotic about a year and a half ago. Haven't had any issues with it. There are a couple different kinds. I take one that you only take once a day.

I honestly don't even know what bloating feels like. From what I understand, I've never experienced it (yes even during my period).

You have to take it everyday though. It's something that has to build up in your stomach. It's not going to be immediate relief. I have a friend that eats a yogurt only when she has a stomach ache and claims it makes her feel better. I think it's psychological.

I've always had problems with being regular and I take a Probiotic daily. I've found that powder work better than pills, but they taste gross. So I make my own pills out of the powder. I use 00 size gelatin capsules that I fill with the powder and then take them like a pill. Easier to breakdown than a hard pill and you get the benefits. I do this with Vitamineral Greens Powder and turmeric too. You might be gassy for a little while but that usually only lasts 2-3 days. No matter how well I eat or how much yogurt and fiber I have, I've always been irregular. If you're worried talk to you doc first. But my personal experience with them has been great. I go twice a day without fail!
