Is there anyone that doesn't count calories in their weight loss journey.....

I started to monitor my caloric intake as part of my weight loss journey one month ago and very frustrated by it. The thing is that I don't want to calorie count for the rest of my life.

I know that calorie counting can be useful for some people, but to me its frustrating as I start to get obsessive about, or worse still feel hungry, after meeting my calorie deficit on a given day, and binge eating .

Does anyone else not calorie count?

so to lose weight it's about calories in vs calories out.

You need to calorie count until you can eat responsibly and understand how your food choices affect your body.

When you want to binge eat. Just don't. Just be responsible to yourself. You're an adult.

It's really not complicated nor difficult.

btw, i calorie counted for 2-3 months until i could understand food nutrition. Which lead to me losing 95lbs, i started at 285 and got down to 192.

I counted calories during my initial weight loss phase a few years ago...IMO, it isn't a life sentence...it's a tool, kind of like training wheels and if used properly one should be able to learn the things they need to do in order to not have to count calories into perpetuity.

I haven't logged in going on three years of maintenance (more or less). I do usually put on a little weight over the winter...about 8 Lbs this year and I'm currently cutting that fat and doing so without logging...but I have to credit logging for a good nine months with teaching me how to do all of this on my own.

That said, there are literally thousands and thousands and thousands of people who lose weight without ever counting calories...

Being that this is a calorie counting site, I would assume most do.

If you are talking about logging, that would be different.
