Just finished level 1 of 30 day shred and only lost 1 lb!! I also did 20 min on the elliptical for 5 of those days. Eating 1100 to 1400 calories a day. Height 4 ft. 9 . 40 yr old female. Current weight 116. Goal weight 105. And hypothyroid. Any suggestions?

Do you use a food scale to track all your intake?

    I usually use measuring cups.

It's going to be slow, you're short like me...we just use less energy than most. Like Queenliz mentioned, a scale might help you a little bit--but even at a pretty low intake, we just don't generate a high deficit. I had to start walking a few miles each night in addition to my workouts to get any faster movement on the scale.

Weight comes off slowly when you are close to goal and when you are not tall. You can't get much of a calorie deficit because you still have to eat enough to get the nutrients your body needs.

That makes it even more important to use a food scale for solids to get as accurate as possible with your calorie counting. Only use measuring cups/spoons for liquids.

Thank you everyone. Guess I'll buy a food scale.
