How big are your ..

ARMS!!!!??

I know that we can't spot reduce and I have to keep dropping weight until these things finally act right.. But this is getting sooo irritating lol. Everything else is decreasing nicely (through diet and exercise) but this chub on my arms won't just GO AWAY! They are 12 inches now, and at their biggest, they were 14 inches... In the scheme of things they aren't THAT big but compared to the rest of my body which now looks A BIT skinny (5'8 154) they ARE! Any body parts that you all just can't rid the fat and have to keep dropping weight when you are at a "healthy BMI"? Sidenote: yes, I weight train. :)

I would say just keep doing arm weights.
Lateral raises, Bicep, triceps curls and chest press.
It will take some time and just hard work and patience.
  • My thighs... ugh they won't go down at all :(

For thighs I think walking will help.

I used to have very slim thighs, but now the weight won't seem to budge from that area :/

12.25 unflexed, 12.75" flexed. Grow little wings grow!!!

But all the direct isolation work in the world won't shrink them, only time and a slight caloric deficit.

    And seriously my triceps, grow!

Patience. Sounds like you're doing everything else right. Give it time.

Mine are 12" and I'm shorter than you! But I only measure flexed, lol. Otherwise they are just 'not fat' as opposed to 'used to be pretty fluffy' ;) I don't know what measurement I'm looking for there, so I eyeball it.

ETA: for me it's the low belly that likes to stick around longer than I like. I wouldn't mind the kind of fat I had 10-15 lbs ago at all, except my lower belly sticks out more than the top and I don't like that. My top belly loses weight easily, so it can be a bit unbalanced looking. But the extra lbs actually came off easily once I was already on a roll, so it's no bother.

Thanks for all of the responses guys! Alas, I know that it will take time (boooo) ... I was just curious about other people's actual arm measurements and if they had resistant areas that are just kicking and screaming as well. lol

My biceps are 9.75" unflexed with decent definition...BUT I have this weird, frustrating armpit fat that will. not. go. away. My mom has it as well, so I blame her.

I am also shrinking everywhere but my arms. They are 15". I have decent muscle in there but it's under a layer of jiggle. I totally feel you on the frustration

Okay?! Yes, my muscles are def being revealed/forming but alas.. Sigh.. I would Love to stay this weight and keep a little shape but I'm going to keep dropping until it's gone.. Hopefully no more then ten more pounds! People are already saying, "aren't you DONE?!" all the time. Lol

I'm 5'4", about 118 lbs, and my arms are still darn close to 10 inches around and look huge in photos despite the fact that I'm on the low end of a healthy weight and and have visible hipbones and ribs. Unfortunately, you can't spot reduce fat and even if you build the muscle underneath, if there's still fat deposits on top of that muscle they're still going to look big.

I know it doesn't seem like a super large measurement but compared to my small frame they look enormous IMO and I hate them, but I don't like being any slimmer than I am so I just keep plugging away with arms day at the gym and hoping they'll improve.

I have the same problem, my arms are really big, my waist has slimmed down. Due to strength training my arms slimmed down a tiny bit, but not enough. I don't know if I'll ever lose the fat on my arms.

Swimming has been great for my arms and shoulders. I swim three times a week for about 3.5 to 4km. The flab is gone - 11". I wish it did the same for the tummy. Getting there- slowly.

Same. I lose weight in my torso LAST and my belly DEAD LAST. Fat keeps leaving my arms/legs first making me look (to myself) like a marshmallow with toothpicks. I don't think other people see our bodies in the same distorted way we see ourselves though...

My Arms? Too big lol. I have some happy flappy bat wing going on mixed with real muscles, not good for most woman's wear lol. Also thighs... these things are holding onto their padding >.< As for inches I think it's 12 or 12.5 for my bicep area (5ft4 135-140 lbs)
