Fitness: Facts vs Myth

Hello MFP community!
I was wondering if anyone out there had any facts about anything regarding fitness and wanted to share it with myself and the community. Even if you believe it to be "common knowledge" you never know, someone new to a new and fit lifestyle may come across it and it may help them out!
A couple of myths people can bust are some such as: "You must eat your recovery meal within the 30 minute window after working out" or "You always have to keep your back flat while bench pressing."
If anyone has anything to share whatsoever in terms of busting some of these health and diet/fitness/workout myths please share!
Ready, go!

Slow and deliberate movements focusing on the motion and engaging the muscle you want is important. It generally trumps quickly banged out sort of lazy rushed sets. Duh. But alot of people dont seem to realize they are doing it lol. Alot of people i see just going quick like they are in a hurry and its clear they are kind of just spinning their wheels going through the motions and really not working the muscle in they want to-Especially those people i often see just texting on their phone with one arm lifting a light weight with the other for like a million reps lol. Alot of people skip the pause and hold step in many exercises0
