I've just signed up. I have 2 stone I'd like to lose for my wedding next year but want to do it as soon as I because I'm unhappy :-( I'm 27 and form the UK if anyone has similar goals and would like to add me.

The real reason for my post though was to ask for some starter low cal recipes. I'm trying to cut out all sweet as I'm a monster when I start! I've set my goal at 1400 calls to being with. I do have a desk job part time but I run around after my 2 year old all the rest of the day haha

I'm going to do a shopping order online tonight so some recipe ideas and snack ideas to have in the fridge and cupboard would be great so I can stay on the wagon!!

Skinny Taste and Cooking Light are great sites for lower cal recipes.

Often I will take regular recipes and make them a bit lighter by including some or more (lower calorie) veggies. Then when I dish up my regular portion size, I have fewer calories. With pasta, I look for more fiber & protein. The portion sizes are smaller than expected, but the added fiber & protein are filling. I will use lower fat dairy products, less cheese (not fat-free, blech).

I grill up a bunch or chicken breasts - cut up, place into baggies and freeze. Then I have several days worth of grilled chicken for salads (at work). Batch cooking will be beneficial.

Pinterest has some great ideas. One of my favs with my large family is crockpot or slow cooker meals. I make a great Chicken Parmesan with a side of Spaghetti squash...

Also grab some fruit and veggies to snack on. If you are looking for higher proteins, get cheese, cottage cheese, Greek yogurts. (Amazing frozen snack) Also. I love to snoop on my friends diaries so that I have a better idea of some snack and meal plans.

    Best of luck to you.
