When to recalculate calories IN?

How much weight do you need to lose before you start recalculating calories IN? I have heard that it's after every 10 pounds lost or after your current routine stops working.

I do it every 10 to 15 but I still have a lot to lose until goal weight. I'll evaluate every 5 to 10 when I get close.

I ran with mine until I seemed to stall at (around 60 pounds loss) and then my TDEE only dropped by about 200 calories so it didn't have anything to do with that but the stall made me rethink the situation and made a bunch of changes and I'm loving it so it worked for the best.

Oi? I thought my fitness pal did that for me? Should I be doing this manually?

Yes, @LushFix, MFP may remind you every 10 lbs but it doesn't actually do it for you. Hop along and put your new weight in if you have lost more than 10-15 lbs.

it is a good thing to do, and a lot of people can forget about that and then worry about a stall. Even a correction by a handful of calories can make a difference if you are close to goal and at the lower end of the calorie range.

    Cheers, h.

So it does this for me when I weigh in? I have lost 10 pounds now and it did take away 30 calories when I updated my info. Im Gonna assume that's what was going on hahah...

Mfp will automatically do it if you dont put in an arbitrary calorie count in.
