Hi, I've never really consistently used this app My Fitness Pal. I've been off and on here and I want to start using it again but this time I want to stick to it. I'm 5"1 female and weigh 142. I was 125 back like 8 months ago but I'm bi polar i fell into a bad depression and gained a lot of weight. I just started trying to lose weight in Jan and I hired a personal trainer and started lifting weights and doing circuit training 45 min - an hour 5xs a week and changed my diet to no grains, no sugar, no dairy, no soy, and trying to stick to grass fed meats and organic cage free poultry - 4oz of protein per meal (3 meals per day). I stay away from most fruits bc of the sugar and try to stick to apples and mixed berries.
My goal is to try and keep to 1200 calories per day but sometimes it leaves me feeling tired and hungry still. I'm a massage therapist and I usually massage 5-6 clients per day 5 days a week. I don't usually do cardio but if I do it's usually a short 15 or 20 minute HITT workout on the treadmill which happens to be very intense for me and I dread doing them. It's been 2 1/2 months and I've lost 8.4 Ibs of fat, gained 4.9 lbs of muscle and went from 30.58% of body fat to 25.49%.
I just don't feel like I got that much smaller. I may look more toned but I really want to get down to 115/120 but it's hard bc 1200 calories is hard for me especially on the weekend and I know in order to get to my goal I will have to stick to that and probably start doing some HITT cardio consistently like at leaSt 3x a week which is difficult for me when I feel so fatigued.
Any support would be really helpful as well as new friends to help me stay motivated, especially people who have similar stats and goals as me. What would be a realistic goal for me to reach 120? And how can i get more energy?

1200 calories is not alot when you are killing it five days a week but if you're losing fat and gaining muscle that's all you can ask for!! You've only lost 3 pounds on the scale but you have lost 5% of your body fat, that is awesome! I think in your situation you have to learn how to interpret and listen to what your body is telling you...........if you feel hungry and need more food, you can try to fit it in to your weekly calorie goal.0
