What is the Biggest, Most Important, or Most Difficult Decision You Have Ever Had to Make?

I'll start.
I've had several. But by far the biggest one, was when I decided to quit my band when I was 19, and move to Los Angeles. The goal was to start a new band. I did that, but it started a kind of down-hill struggle (including sleeping in my car) that ended in a way that I wish I hadn't ever left where I was.
In my mind, the band I had, was great. We were going to do great things. We had lots of gigs lined up, a potential album deal in the works, which actually came to fruition not long after I left, and a great thing going. But, I had stars in my eyes and wanted to hit the big time in L.A.
I learned a valuable lesson from that experience. It was a hard lesson to learn, but it was that the grass is not greener anywhere. What you have right in front of you is gold.
As I am challenged in life with difficult decisions, I always remember that one time. I think about the similarities in my personality, like am I looking for something that isn't really there, or is this a real thing. It's changed me to be loyal.
Additionally, I lost my band mates as friends because they hated me for leaving because there really wasn't any reason. At least not a good one. So, I learned a lot of lessons from that. So, I guess that's good.

It's getting heavy in here. Didn't expect that. LOL. Was thinking more like, "having a baby". "Getting married". I don't know. Didn't expect these heavy topics. But, it's OK. Deep stuff, man.
I know, right? Don't start the convo if you're not gonna see it through :-/

the Biggest, Most Important, or Most Difficult Decision I Have Ever Had to Make was switching Careers. I got a job with the government within the city and Hubby gave me an ultimatum: "Move with him 'IF' he got the position elsewhere or Stay and get a divorce". I'm still with the gov't - He stayed0

My biggest decision was if I should sign a DNR for my son. the doctor asked if I would like them to stop the resuscitation process because too much time had passed. I wouldn't sign it.
He's a happy healthy preteen now .0 -
Mine seems pale in comparison to others, but because since I was 18 I've worked at least 2 jobs or a job that took up at least 10-12 hours of my day, it was to quit a full time $60,000 a year job to be a stay at home dad. And it's the best decision I ever made.

I had the opportunity to buy the music school I work for. It was my dream and it was coming true. Before I signed the papers, the owner got in HUGE trouble for basically the worst type of scandal a school for kids could be associated with...The media/news was hovering outside our door and we had to hide in the office with the lights off and wait for them to leave.
I had to make the decision whether to continue with the deal, except not buy the name and only buy the assets and basically start from scratch since the name was ruined. In the end I lost it because he got more money out of someone else. My dream was crushed and I had a lot of lawyers fees to pay. I was probably only 26. Learning experience. But I'm still kind of recovering as I never moved on. I still work there. I have no real career and I'm 30...0 -
Listening to dead people give me advice on how to live. I didn't do the things I thought were best for me for the first 35 years of my life. Now 38, I am happy, healthy, thriving and repairing the damage. Now I go with gut, and it hasn't steered me wrong. Best wishes all.0

My husband's stupidity got me raped. I decided to forgive him and stay married.
He got a mistress last year and I let him have her so that we could stay married for the kids.0 -

the hardest decision i ever made thus far happened around Thanksgiving 2011 when I left a horrible relationship and moved back in with my parents. It involved a 14 hour drive by myself with all my crap in my car. It was terrifying, humiliating, but also one of the best decisions I've made in my life.0

People might not understand but no one hates you. I support that you know better than anyone else if that was the right choice.

Having a child. I actually never wanted to have children and I considered having an abortion. But after a lot of thinking, I decided to have my baby. It was the best decision I ever made. She'll be 3 tomorrow and I couldn't imagine a life without her.0
