Advice on weight loss!

Hey everyone! I'm in need for some advice on weight loss. I'm 18, 6"2 and I weigh 260 pounds. I lost 13 pounds in the passed 2 weeks ( prob water weight ) and I've been eating about 2000 calories. In the passed 2 weeks I've been burning about 500 calories through exercise. My goal is to lose 35-40 pounds in 3 months. Should I continue what I'm doing? Eat less? Eat more? Any help would be appreciated!

    Congratulations on your great start! Your weight loss goal of 2-3 pounds of weight loss per week might be a shade ambitious. I like the idea of running a steady deficit in the 500 calorie per day range tops. At your starting weight it seems like you probably aren't eating enough and eventually that will catch up with you. I would encourage you to take a longer range view than just the next 3 months! Good Luck!!!
