Busy working mom here

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for busy friends (especially mom's!) to help me along my way and to encourage back!

A little about me...

The last year brought me many changes to my life. I got a promotion, bringing much more responsibility, often working late into the night and getting in early in the morning.

I became a home owner, now running around trying to keep up with cleaning and house repairs.

Largest and best of all, I became a mom! My daughter is now just shy of six months. She is the light of my life and even through the foggy days and sleeps nights I thank God for her every day.

With all of this happening, my diet has gotten off the tracks and I am now the heaviest I've ever been besides my pregnancy.

I'm looking for friends with crazy lives who want to cheer each other on!

Nikki

I feel you, girl!!! My son is seven months. I was an accountant (55 hour weeks) before I started working from home so I totally understand! I added you!

I'm right here with you ladies! I'm a single mom of a three year old, work 45 hours a week, school 2 nights a week, and my daughter has baseball 5 nights a week.

It's so hard to not eat out or eat junk on these busy nights but my daughter is my biggest motivation. I know if I'm not healthy I can't be the best mom and role model for her. I still have 10 pounds I have been trying to lose for months now. I need help & some daily encouragement from other moms in the same situation would be great.

Love having other moms working hard on my feed! Kids are the best motivators!

They truly are! I just recently have started making my daughter cut out all the junk (she loves oatmeal cookies) and replace them with fruits. It's a little adjustment for her but it's hard on me when I'm buying the junk food for her for me to not cheat and snack too. I hope if I start healthy eating habits for her while she's young she will hopefully continue them as she grows older & help mommy out too.

Keep up the good work! Good luck with your struggles.
I am married with three grown kids and a granddaughter, (She is 5 and lives with me)
I am trying to make a lifestyle change that will enable me to balance my spiritual-emotional and physical /social aspects of my life to promote fitness and good health. I am tired of short term fixes only to find myself back at the same place again. I want to feel good and be happy with who I am, for myself and for my family. I work full time nights and exercise, food and sleep time get all mixed up. I know it will be a challenge but I know that eventually we will get there if we take it one day at a time. Sometimes even one minute at a time.
Good luck with your endeavors and keep up the effort for you and your families!

That's actually the whole reason u I am trying to get healthy now! I don't want my baby developing unhealthy habits. That's awesome that you're having your daughter cut junk. She's got an awesome mom!

Aww thank you!!! Sometimes it's hard and I want to give in when she's throwing fits for candy/cookies (those are her favorite) but I know she will thank me in the long run. My advice to you since your baby is only 6 months DONT introduce them to all the sweets and let the bad habits start. That was my mistake being so busy I would just grab a cookie or something easy for her to snack as we run out the door. Sometime even on the way to school she would eat goldfish
