i use to use the polar heart rate monitor and loved it. i just bought the fit bit hr and am questioning the calories burned is correct. i feel like my polar was more accurate with my heart rate and the calories burned during my workouts.
any info on this or suggestions what hr monitor is the best please help

I had a polar which I wore around my chest while exercising but didn't wear it all day as I do with my Fitbit so I can't really say which is more accurate sorry

Anything with a dedicated chest strap will be most accurate.

That said, HR monitors are only for steady state cardio. I don't know what you are using it for, but if it's not steady state cardio, odds are it's already drastically overestimating.
