High cholesterol support

Hi all,

My husband had blood work done and his cholesterol is in the 600's.

    I'm going out on a limb and say that's high. What were the splits? LDL, Triglycerides, etc.

    It's ridiculously high & his good cholesterol was low. I don't know exact numbers but they were all awful.

    I'm on 40mg of simvastatin (used to be 80mg), but my total cholesterol was never over 300.

    Did the doctor prescribe medication yet? Even with meds, some sort of lifestyle change is in order to get that under control.

    Exercise and weight loss (if overweight) will make the biggest difference.

    In diet, less fast digesting carbs, more fiber and unsaturated fats. If he drinks a lot of alcohol, cut back.
