Stair stepper calories vs elliptical calories

Myfitnesspal has me burning the same minute for minute on both. 5 minutes for 54 calories. What do you think? I am looking to burn the most in a short amount of time. And comparing the calorie burn on a treadmill, myfitnesspal says I need to run 5.2 mph for 5 minutes to get the same burn.

I think the stair stepper helps build more stamina in the long run and plus is better on your bones and joints. Switch it up a bit and do different levels and you will get a great workout.1
