If you have experience counting calories for a while and know you are really accurate and spot on and also have an open diary, please post here so that I can compare your food logs with my research of your food logs.
I don't know; I know I'm new at this, but just scared of the possibility I am eating more calories than I think.
I use usda measurements (from their website) and/or what is on the actual package, but even if find minute differences and inconsistencies here and there even if it's a few calories.

Especially apples.....they are a nightmare to figure out. I weigh in grams, but am never sure if it is correct.0

Btw, I have some entries as cups however I use the grams weight provided on the package. I just can't find grams entries for some of them. I weigh everything0

Feel free to look at mine, I try to be as accurate as I can, I weigh pretty much everything as far as is practical and eat back all the exercise calories that my Fitbit One gives me. I'm at maintenance at the moment until after my marathon and TrendWeight tells me I'm losing 0.2kg per week, so I think I'm pretty close to getting all my numbers right.0

The problem is probably that different varieties have different sugar content. Even the same variety can have variation.
(Not that I want to encourage you to loose sleep over the difference.)

Calorie counting is all estimates of calories in and calories out. No matter how accurate you try to be, you'll be off.
Don't get wrapped up in trying to be perfect. It won't be perfect.
Since it's all estimates, it's good to get as close as you can. Double-check your MFP database entry to make sure it matches the box or USDA information. Weigh solids and only use measuring cups/spoons for liquids.
Close is as good as it can get. Don't sweat the small stuff.0 -
I am not logging in MFP anymore ( but in my own diary).
But when you go to the 31th of December 2015 you will find my whole old list with my own brought in entries. They are all right and in grams. All double checked by labels/USDA and nutrtion.com
Save the whole list as a meal and you have them all in one go
So you can use them over and over again.

My diary's public. I use grams and cross reference my entries with USDA database for single foods like beans, veggies, plain oatmeal, etc. I even weigh things like milk, juice, and wine. Yep, there's USDA entries for those things by weight I despise dirtying measuring cups, when I can just put my glass on the scale and pour Keeps things streamlined and tidy in the kitchen.0
