Makeup and Exercise at work

I walk pretty aggressively during lunch at work here in Southern California and I tend to work up a decent sweat especially during summer. My problem is that I work in an office and need to look professional and don't want to take off and redo makeup during lunch to go for my walks. Currently, I've been cheating and just wearing lipstick and some moisturizer with sunblock but I feel I need to step up because I'll soon be working with customers more. Does anyone have a suggestion of products, techniques, etc for sweating a bit and still looking professional?

My foundation doesn't melt when I power walk uphill at lunch here albiet it is Toronto so max temp is like 30 (that's like 90ish for you) not Cali temp but I guess your level of sweating is individual. That’s why I ONLY walk at lunch and not go to the gym to keep the facial sweating to a minimum.
Use those oil-free anti-shine sheets. The company I can think of is Clean and Clear but many companies make them. The first and only time i ever tried those was on my wedding day last year and they worked! I didn't have to put on more powder to my nose to keep the shine away and it was 35 degrees (100 for you) - hottest day of the summer; luckily only the ceremony was on the golf course otherwise unbearable, yay AC!
Otherwise, if you aren’t already wearing makeup just use a wet face wipe to refresh yourself, you can pick them up for like $6 at Walmart or Dollarama has them here for $1.25 and then re-apply lipstick and a little concealer under eyes, nose and any blemished or ruddy areas.0 -
Bare Escentuals mineral makeup stands up really well to workout sweat.0

What a great topic . . . as I sit her sweating and trying to cool off from my lunchtime jog! I have been using tinted moisturizer with sunscreen, then a little puff of mineral makeup and some lipstick. My eye makeup seems to stand the exercise test, but every other portion of my face does not! Im also one of those people who get a VERY red face for a bit when exercise vigorously so really need those touch-ups when I get back into work. I've also learned to bring a complete change of clothes, including undergarments as it is rather uncomfortable to sit in damp underwear (learned that the hard way, ha ha).
I do have to leave my hair up with a pretty clip all afternoon though as it is usually beyond repair as I have pretty long hair now. I don't care if Im a bit of a sweaty mess for a while . . . it is still so worth it to get out of the office and reinvigorate myself.0 -
I can't work out with make up on. I rarely wear make up now beause I don't like the feel of it. I couldn't imagine going to the gym wearing making, and sweating like I do. I wouldn't have any on by the time I was done.0

thats what i was going to say. i have ones from the Body Shop. I use them when I'm in Cabo cause its so humid there that I sweat and I'm not even doing anything. :laugh:0 -
The Body Shop has a few different blotting sheets, some with tea tree which helps reduce redness and others with a bit of powder if you need to reduce shine. I'm from SoCal and now live in muggy DC so I totally understand the sweat factor! Bring super light clothes to change into for your workout and a towel to dry off afterward. You can use the towel to wipe off sweat or get it wet with cold water if you need to cool down in a hurry. Fresh wipes or baby wipes are also helpful.0

I never wear makeup so this is a non-issue for me. I work with clients all day and think I look very professional without it. I know some women have that confidence given to them by makeup but maybe if you could live without it, it would solve the problem! Then a simple cooling facewash after the walk might solve the problem.0
