Does only two days of not eating slow metabolism

If I don't eat for two days, but just drink water, will my metabolism slow down? I know metabolism slows down OVER TIME, but just how long would it take until it really slows down? Is two days still considered a short amount of time?
I'm not anorexic, or anything. I'm just fasting for church, but I also work out a lot and am trying to lose weight, so I'm wondering if those two days of water fasting would drastically change my metabolism.

More than likely not. Two days doesn't make a habit, and it takes a habit of that to slow down the metabolism. You'll probably hold onto water weight like nobody's business, but your metabolism will be fine.0

No, two days will not slow down your metabolism. This would be a problem only if you are already normal or low weight and ate very little, say, under 500 calories, for weeks or months. And your metabolism never grinds to a halt. There was a morbidly obese man who lost weight on a medically supervised program in which he consumed water with nutrients for a year.0
