Not weight loss related: Anyone with a non-functional thyroid

Just curious about other people's experiences. I have Hashimoto's and have lived with it for many years. This last year, my thyroid is finally failing. But it appears to be progressing incredibly fast, as in meds being adjusted, then a couple of month later need readjustment etc. I wonder if others who have experienced their hypothyroidism progressing, had been through something similar and how long this phase lasts. My endocrinologist is not surprised and I do plan to ask at my next appointment when I should expect some stability (I am guessing when it completely stops working ?) but I am just curious about other patients experiences.
