Support? , over 50, women, 3 yrs post op

Hi, I'm a 52 y/o Mother(of3)/Grandmother(of6), who needs to lose a lot of weight. My scale battery is dead so I don't know exactly how much, but my goal is to get under 200lbs. I've seen that since 1994. I recently joined a gym, I get my "health assessment " on March 7, till then I'm just playing around on the treadmills and bikes.
I have some health issues, but nothing severe. Asthma, hernia are the most limiting for exercise. Diet wise I'm just starting to track. (I've done most of the diets out there- right now I'm debating between Paleo or the 15/6 Jorge Cruise diet-15gms sugar/6 svgs carbs).
Any other Grammy ' s out there looking for a buddy?
