Water Retention

This morning I'm 4.5 lbs heavier than I was two days ago. I know it's all water, because I can feel it in my fingers and see it in my face. I understand it's a balance thing, that my body is trying to balance sodium levels with water. Please don't tell me to drink water to flush it out, because I've thought about that. If it's a balance thing, and my body thinks it's in balance right now, then if I drink lots of water, my body will flush out only THAT water in order to get back to the balance it has now and I'll be right back where I started. What I need to do is get rid of sodium, so my body will dump the water it's hanging onto. So my question is, how do I dump sodium? Is sweat the only way?

Potassium - have a banana or some celery. Lemon or cucumber are both diuretics and can help flush out excess water.0
