BLEAUGH! Protein Bars

I recently switched from losing weight to gaining muscle and have been trying to eat about 180grams of protein a day. This isn't too tricky because I love meat and cheese (although watching the fat has been a struggle.)

Recently, my wife bought me some 'protein bars' to try - 25g of protein and delicious flavors like 'Cookies n' Cream.' Anybody else tried these?

Anybody else thought they were REVOLTING?

I'm struggling to eat one now. An EAS Myoplex bar that I've been working on all day. I tell you, chocolate has never been such a struggle. If REAL candy bars tasted this bad, America wouldn't have an obesity problem.

Yeah, I stay away from them...too much sugar. If you're looking to build muscle, your primary source of protein should come from lean meats (especially from poultry or fish) or egg whites. If you can't always get it from those, then a good high quality whey protein (powder) is a great supplement.

I have a big protein shake for breakfast (also EAS) and that's pukka. I also LOVE jerky, but I guess that's bad because of all the sodium! Fortunately I don't have a sweet tooth - and if I did, this disgusting bar has cured it!
