Daydream believer

I find myself drawn to the threads here where people talk about the unexpected bonuses of weight loss/fitness and the mini goals that keep them motivated. Also motivating quotes. I think I like that angle cause it gives me so many little things to look forward to, to "daydream" about, to add to my self-talk "scripts".

Maybe you can share yours...whether they are the happy by-products of your successes to date or the incentives to keep you going when your long term goal seems far away.

I look forward to:

Trying on clothes I have outgrown but never parted with.
Not feeling the discomfort of waist bands or bra straps digging in to me.
Feeling like my weight matches my height (= short)
Buying clothes because I like how they look and not because I believe they hide figure flaws. (I dislike most of my clothes...they do NOT reflect my taste.)
Feeling STRONG and light on my feet.
Giving my big shapeless wool coat to charity.
Having sleeves on jackets be the right length. Usually if it is big enough to button up, the arms are too long.

I am sure I will think of many more...

What about you? What are some of the intrinsic rewards that you have started to get along the way? If you are just starting out, what do you look forward to?

Looking good without clothes is what gets me. Along with having to nitpick to exploit my flaws. Seeing progress even if its not day to day. Feeling better and more energized in general, all excuses to keep a healthy lifestyle. Oh and I almost forgot, looking good naked and turning heads on the beach.
