No caloric intake for strength training, why??

Does anyone know why when you add your strength training, it doesn't adjust the caloric intake to your overall exercise calories burned? I work out for 90 minutes usually but it will only adjust the cardio so I never add the strength training. TIA

Strength training doesn't burn many calories. It's still beneficial though.

The MFP strength training section is for you to record your reps and weight. Because it has no idea how long it takes you to do those reps, it has no, even vaguely, reliable way to calculate calories burned. There is an entry for strength training under 'cardio' though, which does count calories.

Yes, under cardio...you can find strength training. Calories are not accurate I think, but it's close

I keep my Fitbit HR sent to sedentary & take any calories it gives me for walking or Zumba class because it is most accurate on steady state cardio. I also do about 6 hours of yoga and lifting free weights each week but I don't add that anywhere. I figure any calories burned there are just an offset for inaccuracies for my food logging. So far this has worked well for me.

Because its impossible to estimate. It's not much regardless. If you are losing/gaining too much weight, adjust your caloric intake on your settings. Much easier and way more accurate.
