Hey all!
I'm a 26 year old incredibly obese woman. I began losing weight when I was around 370lbs. That was about 2 years ago. I spent one year logging calories every day, working out like a mad woman and I got as low as 290lbs. I moved to NYC (tough transition from Idaho), and gained quite a bit back this past year. (see: 30lbs or so).
I am trying really hard to to ride on the success of my previous weight loss and humble myself a little in order to start and get going again. I've told myself i'm starting all over... this is the first pound lost.
What's really been helping me are challenges that my cousin back home and I are doing together. We set a fitness goal for the month and if we reach it, we buy each other an end of month fitness related treat. This month we're getting Fit Bits, next month resistance band sets.
In the non-fat news... I've made it in NYC one year. I can calm down and get out of survival mode and into thriving mode. I work at a doctor's office (chiro & clinical nutrition). I'm in a lovely relationship with the BF and he's moving in shortly. I have some good friends out here. I graduated with a music degree before moving and I haven't done anything with it... but that is a personal striving for the upcoming year.
Lovely to meet you! Can't wait to hop into these forums and get the fire going again.

Nanette
