Just when I started losing weight...

I'm new to this app...I have Crohn's Disease and am always on and off of some form of a Corticosteroid, normally prednisone. I weaned off of the prednisone two months ago. Although I'm not in remission and still in a flare...I've decided I want to try to take off some of the steroid weight. Plus I haven't taken off any of my baby weight. She is 17 months old now. I lost just about 4lbs this week. I was excited to see progress but was put on Entocort (Corticosteroid) yesterday :/ so I am either going to put weight back on or be unable to take more off. Anyone else on here with an autoimmune disease, taking steroids, while trying to lose weight at the same time?

    Bump.

    I'm hoping for a response from others on this.
    I started Prednisone for sciatica pain and have seen a slight increase in weight & was curious about corticosteroids.

    I have Crohn's. Endicort is not as bad as Prednisone with weight gain. Has your Dr mentioned steroid sparring drugs? Since you are on steroids so often I'm curious why you aren't on methotrexate or azathioprine or a biologic?
