Haha if you eat a slice of bread what do you choose? We have been buying white but i know that's not the best! Thanks

I like rye. I'm allergic to rye. I eat it anyway. Then we all suffer.

Granary/seeded. No calorie considerations in that really, I just like it the best.

I buy a 50/50 white and whole meal loaf for the family , but if I really want BREAD, I mean hot with butter it's got to be a granary seed loaf that I bake in the oven or sourdough
    Damn want bread now

Pumpernickel, rye, ciabatta, and sourdough. I am perfecting (hubby would say failing) my home-made sourdough recipe. I like the rough texture.

Oprah, is that you? Just kidding. I don't eat bread anymore but when I did sourdough was my fav. Hearty, dark rye bread also. And with butter. Always with butter.

I mostly use Sara Lee Whole Wheat 45 calorie bread. I don't like to waste a lot of calories on bread.

Sour dough. I'm on a low fiber diet (medical reasons) so I can't eat the tasty grainy breads. Love me some sourdough though

I make my own whole wheat quick bread, eat two pieces a day. Love it.

Sometimes I make my own, sometimes I use original Thomas English Muffin, sometimes I'll buy a baguette (or similar crusty bread) from someplace that makes good ones - Central Market or Eatzi's.

I get Sarah Lee whole wheat bread as the default loaf.
We also have sourdough bread, french bread, homemade breads, whatever we feel like. I feel like most plain store bought white sandwich bread is too bland.

I like Nature's Harvest 100% whole wheat; 120 cal. in two slices. I have soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner about 3 times a week! I also love Arnold Sandwich Thins; currently I have the whole wheat & flax kind; 100 cal. per serving (two halves). I love bread and cannot/will not live without it!!!

    Kirkland Signature Multi-grain or sourdough.

For standard use we usually buy grocery store wheat bread. It's what everyone in the house will tolerate.

But...we don't choose one type of bread. We have baguettes or Italian crusty loaves with pasta, challah for French toast, rye for patty melts, English muffins, bagels, tortillas, etc.

Sprouted wheat for the thick and satisfying texture. Or whole wheat English muffins. I love how filling both of them are compared to white bread.

I like a nice, fresh and crusty French or sourdough baguette. I also like a hearty, seeded multigrain. Or occasionally, a humble sandwich white. No consideration other than matching it to the accompanying meal (flavor wise), or simply what's in the bread box.

I make my own now... Can't stand packaged bread anymore! Easy and much tastier. Or it's fresh bread from the local French bakery if I happen to be that way and I'm low on bread.

Before I liked English muffins and the breads made in store.

Aldi Fit and Active Multigrain--90 calories, 5 grams of dietary fiber, 6 grams of protein in 2 slices. Very soft too.

Great thank you everyone for your input. I am making lifestyle changes along with doing MFP to hold myself accountable....i know most bread has a crap ton of GMO and other crud so i will eventually give it up. But not yet. No not yet. Lol i do realize i sounded like Oprah BZAH10 hahahaha oh well. Tried to be funny and failed.

    Naan.

There's nothing wrong with bread of any kind unless you have a medical issue with it (gluten allergy, IBS, etc.).

I rarely eat bread so when I do it better be special. Asiago cheese bread from Panera is amazing. I got my husband a really nice Italian bread last night to eat his sausage on and when I scooped out the inside I will confess to taking a bite because it was so fresh and soft and delicious. It's the hardest part of eating low carb for me.

Hmmm, I love bread. I just ate a lovely toasted cheese bagel topped with scrambled eggs and spinach.

I'm a fan of hearty ryes, pumpernickel has a special place in my heart, sourdough is great. I make fantastic bread too but it's hard to practice control with my homemade bread. My honey whole wheat is exceptionally yummy.

Hmmmm, I have some every day. :)

One of the grocery stores here sells the most delicious baguettes. They go stale and hard as a rock in a couple days, so you just *have* to eat them up fast (oh the sacrifice). Put in a toaster oven with way too much butter...heaven!

I pretty much only eat bread at restaurants. So there's either a bacon cheeseburger in between it or it's fresh. I cannot remember the last time I brought bread into my home.

Everyday-type bread is a sprouted bread -perhaps like Ezekiel bread

For dinner parties, etc., it's a walk to a nice bakery to get some beautiful, fresh artisan bread of some kind (walnut olive, levain) Maybe foccacia or ciabatta.

Gosh...now I'm craving me some bread!

For sandwiches, aunt Millie's makes a 35 calorie whole wheat bread that I love. I can have a slice of toast with my eggs, PB&J or turkey sandwich without killing my calories for the day. But occasionally I spoil myself with sourdough on the side of my soup or pastas. For me, it's about calories, not carbs :)

    I like that one.

Right now I'm stuck on oatmeal bread. It's so soft and delicious. I bought it for visiting family to make sandwiches with leftover turkey I roasted but they kept wanting local fast food they can't get where they live. :s I'll be glad when this loaf is gone. Hard to resist.
