I'm headed out this afternoon for a longish walk. I am going to walk all the aisles at the local Walmart -- or maybe Lowe's -- or Target -- cuz I'm in the "Deep South" and it's muggy and stinking hot from now thru mid-September.

And, if you, as I do, tend to feel conspicuous, grab a cart and throw a tube of toothpaste in it and buy it. You need the toothpaste anyway or will eventually.

I'm not a big fan of the heat & humidity (so far this summer we've only had a few days) which is why I try to get out and run around 5 AM.

Around here most of the malls are welcoming to walkers, in fact one not to far from my office has distance markers so the walkers can keep track of how far they've walked.

If it helps keep people moving it's a good thing! (I couldn't go to Lowes or Home Depot without inflicting serious damage to my bank account)
