Tracking a while, finally saying hi

I have been tracking my nutrition and weight for a while, but I haven't posted or anything yet. I am not new to trying to lose weight. I've been overweight for most of my life. It wasn't until recently that I finally got a grasp on my issues and learned how to deal with my eating problems. This past fall I ended up in the ER with a severe migraine, and I started seeing a neurologist in December. He put me on Topamax, and that's when everything changed. I stopped binge eating, didn't feel as hungry, began to realize when I was hungry because of stress versus actual hunger, and it also gave me some odd side effects as far as the way I think about food and food taste. My migraines are better too. It's been an all around life saver. In November 2015 I weighed 294 pounds. This morning I weighed 268 pounds. I have never lost that much weight without birthing a child first LOL
I am super proud of my accomplishments so far, and I know that as long as I can keep making healthy food choices, I will be able to succeed with my weight loss goal.
