I gained 75 lbs. while pregnant with my daughter. I'm trying to lose 2 lbs per week. Myfitnesspal says that I need to eat 1200 calories per day to do so. However, because I breastfeed 15-25 oz per day, I get to eat an extra 300 calories per day. Breastfeeding has actually helped! I feel like I get to eat more. I'm in about 26 days on my plan, and have lost 7 lbs. It's working!! I've realized that portion control is my biggest problem, along with eating too many extra sauces such as Mayo, ranch, and butter. A lot of that can be cut out or limited. I could eat almost 2 eggs for one serving of mayo and feel more full; those are the kinds of things that tracking calories makes you think about. Things that make me feel full and satisfied are eggs, chicken, applesauce, mini wheats, and I love the broccoli and rice green giant steamers. Those are just a few things. A few of my favorite things lol. One word of advice while breastfeeding and dieting is that water is very important. It can make you feel more full, and it also keeps your supply up. Stick to eating nutritious food, and you'll be fine.
