Random exercise through the day.

I am fortunate enough to have a job where 4-5 times through the day I can do roughly 10 min of exercising. Be it push-ups, calf-raises, curls, you know, the simpler stuff that doesn't require a lot of equipment. My core temp gets risen along with my heart rate. Along with all of that I am on my feet all the time walking on average 14,000 steps a day combined with about an average 17 floors of stairs. Question, other then the noticeable growth in arms and shoulders, does elevating the heart rate throughout the day like this help in shedding fat and burn more cals? I also do a min of a 40 minute cardio at least 4-5 times a week.
