Been on this app now for 10 days(I know). But been hammering the elliptical trainer and keeping a 1000+ below calories. Weighed myself this morning and have put 1 pound on!! Does your excercise mean you can eat more or do you still eat under your food goal with adding what you eat?

Whatever MFP has you set for, eat that, and you will eat back your exercise calories (about 50-75% of them, as MFP overestimates a lot). Set the right activity level which is how much you move around not including your exercise. Then set your goal for 1lb loss if you have a lot to lose or 0.5 if you are closer to your goal. 2lbs/week sounds nice, but it will slap you at 1200 cals which is just going to wipe you out and lead to quitting/binging/weakness. Eat what MFP says, and eat back those exercise calories as discussed above.
You might be holding water weight if you are new to exercise.
If you are *not* logging everything, you might be eating over your calories without realizing.
If you *are* logging everything, and you haven't already, invest in a food scale. It'll make a huge difference.

Weigh your food with a food scale that measures in grams. Weight loss happens in the kitchen (gym is for overall health.)
Be patient. Take photos now for motivation later when the scale is not moving but you can see that your body shape has changed.0
