Change my Activity Level or Log my Work???

So I finally got a job as a lunch lady (woo!)
And I have my activity level set to sedentary.
I work 4 hours a day, 4-5 days a week (depending on if the kids have school every day that week)
Should I change my activity level, or just log 4 hours of cooking every day that I work?

I'm already logging the hour I walk to the bus stop each day through MapMyRun.

THANK YOU for your help!

I'd just log the hours you work. That way, you don't end up with too many calories on the days you aren't working! :)

Do you have a pedometer? Your daily average step count would be useful for knowing if you should change activity levels.

I'd up your activity level to reflect your job. I would personally never count work as exercise.

I don't have a pedometer. I checked and this is how it breaks down:

    • If I log the activity daily, I would have an extra 2955 calories a week.
    • If I change my activity level, I get an extra 1610 calories a week.

Should I still log my walk to and from the bus stop or no?

I'm thinking of upping my activity level like @Ready2Rock206 said, since it's less total calories per week gained, and I don't want to have too many calories, ya feel?

Why don't you choose one, and try it for two weeks. If you're losing at an acceptable rate, then stick with it. If you're not happy with your progress, make another choice!

    That's so reasonable, @rosebarnalice , I like your thinking!
