Loose skin.

Hi. I need to lose 42-45lb. I am just worried that I'd get loose skin. I know it depends on how much lost, what age etc. But would I get loose skin from around 45lb?

Thank you

Yes, no, maybe. It's impossible for us to tell you for sure but that's not *that* much weight and you are pretty young. On the flip side, I have no idea how long you've been overweight and that is a factor too.

I never have. But I lost the weight slowly, and got plenty of exercise and protein while I did it.

At 20 years old and male odds are in your favor to avoid any extreme loose skin with a 45 pound loss.

I've read drinking lots of water and building a little muscle prevents that unless your loosing a huge amount of weight. In your case I wouldn't think so.

I've lost 90 lbs and yes I have some weird skin things happening. My arms have extra skin and my tummy is weird. But my blood sugar is in non diabetic range and I have come off of one of my blood pressure meds. My point is yes my skin is not what I would like, but I'm much healthier than when I started. I hope that when I get to my goal weight and give it some time it will lessen. In the end though, your health is what matters.

if so, probably not a lot. also it depends on how much extra weight you're carrying and how long you carried that weight (the degree of which your skin is already stretched, basically). your age is another important factor. I lost 90 lbs in the past 13 months and I have a little bit of loose skin, but everyone's progress is different.

    I doubt it.
